The Farmers’ Market is moving back to the Native Son’s Hall this weekend to settle in for the winter months. As we shift seasons, the hours will also shift to a later start. Hours for the Fall Market are 10-1:00. The fall hours to allow farmers time to feed animals and load product in the daylight, as well as allowing customers more time to get to the Market.
This fall wraps up the 25th anniversary year for the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market. The Market began 25 years ago on the field at the exhibition grounds. Over the summer celebrations have included a Market Passport launch sponsored by Royal LePage’s Comox Valley Homes where customers were encouraged to engage with vendors by gathering signatures, to be entered into a draw to win a basket of Market product. The first draw is this weekend at the Native Son’s Hall so make sure your passport gets entered!
With the fall harvest still coming in we'll have fifty or more vendors attend the Fall Market each week with their local food product, so vendors will again be spilling out onto the street so that as many as possible can be accommodated, so make sure to get around to see all the offerings when you visit.
The Fall Market runs every Saturday until Dec 23rd, but please note that there wil be no market on Novembeer 11th out of respect for Rememberance Day.
