We are a nut farm: we have about 12 acres of hazelnuts and walnuts, and a few edible chestnut trees. We sell nuts in the shell, shelled nuts, and walnut and hazelnut oil which we make ourselves in an expeller press (cold pressed). We generally start our sales at the market in mid to late October, depending on the harvest.

Heritage apples - Red and Yellow Gravensteins, Cox, Bramley, Russett. Pears - Bosc, d'Angou, Bartlet. Grown without pesticides on our small farm near Chickadee lake on Denman island. From September to December I'm at the market selling apples and pears by the pound and the box as well as pasterurized apple juice.

We provide fresh, locally grown, organic sprouts year round in the Comox Valley and beyond for a happier, healthier planet. Clever Crow is made up of Lia and Brian McCormick who have lived in the Valley for 18 years and have a passion for growing food and enhancing the food on your plate. They bring their locally produced artisan sea salts and spice blends, popular mixed salad greens and abundance of veggies grown sustainably and naturally to the Saturday Market year round, and the Wednesday Market through the summer.
Bill and Joyce retired to the Comox Valley in 2003. Bill was born and raised near Tsolum school and graduated from that school. Joyce nursed in Victoria for almost 40 yrs. Our wish is to share with others, at a reasonable price, the bounty of our farm. Produce is raised naturally, as are our animals. Our main product is Cornish hens, which are very popular at the market.
Country Aire Farm is a small farm that offers bedding and vegetable plants in the spring, seasonal vegetables and fruits during the Summer, Fall and Winter, all grown without pesticides, herbicides or commercial fertilizers. McClintocks farm is a mixed farm offering U pick raspberries and blueberries on the farm, award winning sweet corn at the farmers market. We also have a new water buffalo dairy, supplying milk for mozzarella cheese made at Natural Pastures Cheese in Courtenay.
We have recently introduced our new line of water buffalo yogurt at the Farmers' Market!
Our buffalo graze exclusively from April through until October which means our yogurt is 100% grass fed during those months. During the winter when the grass is not growing and grazing is not an option, we feed grass silage and non-GMO corn silage. We do not feed grain of any kind. We are happy to discuss our reasons for choosing to feed corn silage during the winter months so stop by the Farmers' Market and ask away!
We grow certified organic apples, pears, quince and plums on our Denman Island farm.
Some of our varieties that we grow are: Gravenstein, Belle de Boskoop, bramley seedling, purple Spartan. Transparent, gala, Mutsu, Golden Russet, Bosc and Conference pears and Italian prune plums, and quince.
We also sell pasteurized apple juice - a mixed pressing of all our apple varieties.
We are a small mixed farm and greenhouse producing a variety of vegetables and fruit in season. In the spring we offer bedding plants and vegetable starters for sale at the market. In August we have a good selection of garden fresh vegetables and berries for sale. Our specialties include garlic, grape tomatoes, and wonderfully sweet cantaloupe.

The farm is a local producer of fresh vegetables and raises Fallow Deer. While primarily a working farm, tours are offered. Other services include retail sales of venison, fresh produce and specialty products available both on-site and at the Courtenay Farmers’ Market. A site is available for group activities, children’s birthday parties and other special events. Overnight accommodation can be reserved in a unique waterfront Yurt. At Seal Bay Farm, our products are known for their spiciness! We grow many types of chile peppers, which we use to make our hot pepper jellies, hot sauces and cranberry salsa. However, not everything we sell is spicy. We also sell a wide assortment of other products including fresh veggies such as garlic, tomatoes, beans, squash and zucchini, bedding plants, and sweet jams and jellies.
